Supported by the Central African Forest Initiative (CAFI), the project aims to secure and strengthen the sustainability of investments related to Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES). Through the initiative, Interpeace is developing a standardised framework for preventing and managing land and natural resource conflicts in Kwango, Mai-Ndombe, and Équateur provinces.

The objective of the project is to ensure that climate and forestry programmes incorporate a conflict-sensitive approach, respect the "Do No Harm" principle, and strengthen social acceptability among local communities.
