In a world marked by unprecedented levels of violent conflict, humanitarian need, and multilateral strain, Interpeace’s commitment to locally led peacebuilding has never been more vital. In 2024, Interpeace achieved remarkable impacts in advancing its 2021-2025 A Resilient Peace strategy, with efforts focused on three key aims: Rethinking Peace, Enhancing Resilience for Peace and Embedding and Institutionalising Peace.

Throughout 2024, Interpeace:

  • Empowered over 70,000 people across 12 countries to resolve conflict and rebuild trust Addressed 558 local conflicts through 163 local peace infrastructures
  • Supported national peacebuilding policies in countries such as Rwanda, Somalia, Mali, and Yemen
  • Launched the Finance for Peace Impact Framework and established Finance for Peace as an independent institution
  • Engaged more than 18,000 young people, strengthened collaborative security, and promoted economic peacebuilding

This report shares how we’ve tackled the complexity of today’s crises, not only through response, but through transformation. Our work is based in evidence-backed, time-tested methods roothed in local ownership and collaboration. This blend of experience and innovation has empowered communities to resolve conflicts non-violently and over the past year, our practical work, policy initiatives and strategic partnerships have strenghtened local capacities, driving sustainable peace.
