Women peacebuilders -
Breaking stereotypes and fueling hope

#InspireInclusion

Reaching out to all groups, particularly those who are often discriminated and marginalised has been one of Interpeace’s core values, since its inception 30 years ago. Working with women at the community level has helped us build bridges of understanding, advocate for inclusion and foster sustainable peace. In the past three decades, we have witnessed how women have become powerful agents of change in their communities. As dialogue mediators, entrepreneurs and political leaders, these women are helping rebuild their communities and planting the seeds of empowerment for future generations. Read below the stories of seven courageous women peacebuilders from DRC, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Mali, Rwanda, Burundi and Somalia.
