Issues of transitional justice and how to deal with the past have been identified as major obstacles to peace in Burundi. This report aims to contribute to the reconstructions process and the truth about the painful past of Burundi. The report also identifies the divides that are still existing in Burundi and that are preventing the transitional justice process from making progress. The document also formulates concrete recommendations for possible solutions to issues of transitional justice.
