Dukire Twubake II (Healing to Build II)

The Dukire Twubake programme builds on the achievements of its first phase and seeks to strengthen more inclusive, consensus-based and trauma-sensitive reconciliation approaches. The initiative combines trauma healing, intergenerational dialogues, livelihood initiatives and advocacy to encourage more inclusive and sustainable peace processes.

Through activities implemented at the individual, community, and national levels, the programme supports women, youth and marginalized groups to become agents of change, capable of actively participating in governance, promoting social cohesion, and contributing to lasting peace. The approaches supported through the project include promoting women’s participation in governance, promoting and strengthening inclusive psychosocial support to address the wounds of the past, building economic and political capacities of youth, as well as strengthening democratic governance and citizen participation.
