Our local partner, the Centre of Studies for Peace and Development (CEPAD), hosted a national level conference in Dili, Timor-Leste on Friday 23rd March to discuss what is commonly referred to by the Timorese as 'KKN'-- Corruption, Collusion, and Nepotism.

Corruption had been identified as one of four issues that stands in the way of lasting peace in Timor-Leste. Over 900 Timorese from all sectors and levels of society had participated in a nationwide research initiative to identify obstacles to lasting peace.

The 'KKN Working Group,' made up of national experts, discussed their findings over the last 5 months.
