Ruth Wafula

I am Ruth Wafula, the Human Resources Support Officer based in Kenya. I play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of HR functions and programmes in the Kenya office. I am passionate about fostering a positive work environment and committed to enhancing employee experience, therefore supporting Interpeace’s mission of building lasting peace. Working with Interpeace appeals to me, especially because, as an organisation, Interpeace has a practical and inclusive approach to peacebuilding, recognising the importance of local people and communities.

Frank Kayitare

I am Frank Kayitare, the Country Representative of Interpeace in Rwanda. I am a devoted peacebuilder and strongly motivated by sharing my expertise to build peaceful and resilient communities. In Rwanda, a country whose societal fabric was destroyed by the Genocide against the Tutsi, I find great joy in witnessing people rebuilding their mental and socioeconomic resilience as well as strengthening social cohesion and reconciliation. It’s a strong indication that building resilient and lasting peace is possible.

Lilian Kisinga

I am Lilian Kisinga, a Kenyan based in the Nairobi office as an Administration Assistant.

I am driven by the desire to see change in the world in hopes of brighter days yet to come.  Being part of the Interpeace team, I believe we will influence others to make the world a better place.

In my free time, I love listening to music, taking nature walks and cycling.

Emmanuel Nyandwi

I am Emmanuel Nyandwi, a Communications Officer based in Kigali, Rwanda. I firmly believe in the transformative power of communication and advocacy to positively impact lives, foster stronger community bonds, and cultivate more cohesive, peaceful, and resilient societies.

Muthoni Ngure

I am Muthoni Ngure, the Regional Communications Manager (EAC) based in Kenya. I am passionate about building brands and believe that a strong brand not only helps with brand awareness but also successfully builds a sense of community, creating an emotional connection with society at large.

Charles Ndayiziga

I am Charles Ndayiziga, the Senior Regional Representative of Interpeace for the Great Lakes region. My passion for fostering peace in this region is unwavering, and I take great pride in my role as a peacebuilder. In addition to my professional responsibilities, I find great joy in meeting and learning from inspiring individuals who are actively working towards peace. Whether it be my peers or the young women and men I encounter on my journeys, their perspectives help broaden my own thinking on how to build sustainable peace in the Great Lakes region - the place of my birth and childhood. While I possess a diverse range of skills, one unique talent of mine is singing in the morning!
