2025 – An unprecedented scaling up of Interpeace’s programmes in DRC begins with the launch of a significant consortium featuring three projects: 1) Extension of the Mediation Support Project, expanding interventions to Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu seeking to bridge the gap created by the withdrawal of MONUSCO; 2) A deployment to Mai-Ndombe and Kinshasa to strengthen resilience and livelihoods in the face of the Teke-Yaka crisis together with Caritas International Belgium and la Commission Diocésaine Justice et Paix; 3) Launch of the Peacebuilding Fund III, combining efforts for the construction of economic infrastructure in the East and the prevention of youth violence in Kinshasa. The initiative is implemented in partnership with the United Nations Office for Project Services and the German Development Bank (KfW).
