Ambassador Anna Jardfelt

Permanent Representative of Sweden to the United Nations in Geneva

Anna Jardfelt is the Ambassador of Sweden to the UN since 2020. Before, she was the Swedish Ambassador to Kenya and to the EU’s Political and Security Committee (PSC) from 2014 to 2017. Prior to this post she spent four years as the Director of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. She joined the Swedish Foreign Ministry in 1997 and has spent a large part of her career on European Security policy issues, including when serving as Chief of Staff for the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (2001-2005). Anna Jardfelt holds a law degree with focus on International law and Human rights.
