Intern, Strategic Partnerships
Hello there, my name is Annemiek, I am from the Netherlands, and am currently the Strategic Partnerships Intern, based in Brussels.
I got my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from University College Maastricht, focusing on security, terrorism and history, and I spent some time studying abroad in Australia. I did my master’s at the University of Nottingham, in international security and terrorism.
Following my studies, I landed in Brussels, interning at the office of a member of the European Parliament, later at the Flemish Peace Institute, then at Friends of Europe, and now at Interpeace.
I am honoured to be working on the most noble cause there is, namely peacebuilding, and supporting government engagement in order to promote Interpeace’s values and work.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, baking and meeting up with friends and family.
