Yet reconciliation remains a contested and highly context-specific notion. In fact, there is considerable debate among scholars, experts and practitioners on the concept and practice of reconciliation, and how to best assess the achievements or limitations of reconciliation processes, especially in contexts where there are risks of re-emerging or transformed patterns and typologies of violence. Consequently, evidence is often lacking or disputed about interventions that are \u2018successful\u2019 in fostering reconciliation from the perspective of the people experiencing these processes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Together with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kofiannanfoundation.org\/\">Kofi Annan Foundation<\/a>\u00a0and with support of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/valtioneuvosto.fi\/en\/frontpage\">Government of Finland<\/a>\u00a0et\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bosch-stiftung.de\/en\">Robert Bosch Stiftung<\/a>, we have developed a report entitled -\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interpeace.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Challenging-the-Conventional-Making-Post-Violence-Reconciliation-Succeed_Web-1.pdf\">Challenging the Conventional: Making Post-Violence\u00a0Reconciliation Succeed<\/a>, <\/em>addressing the design and implementation of reconciliation processes, based on studies in Guatemala, Northern Ireland, DRC and South Africa.
