This is one in a series of working papers on \u2018leadership for peace\u2019. While there is a vast literature on \u2018leadership\u2019 and a growing literature on conflict transformation and peacebuilding, with few exceptions \u2018leadership\u2019 has not figured prominently as an important factor in building sustainable peace.
