You can watch the high-level panel-event co-hosted by Interpeace on Health and Peace: \u201cBridging heatlh, peace and security: The role of trust and community engagement\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"colour\">The Covid-19 pandemic is the greatest public health crisis in generations and\u00a0has\u00a0devastating impacts on lives and livelihoods. The emergence of a suite of vaccines represents a beacon of hope that we may soon stem the tide of the pandemic. Multilateral initiatives, such as the COVAX facility, play a crucial role in ensuring an equitable distribution of vaccines to developing countries. This does not, however, guarantee success\u00a0on the home straight\u00a0in getting\u00a0vaccines into arms.\u202f\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"colour\">The pandemic, and accompanying\u00a0infodemic, have exacerbated existing inequalities and mistrust between groups and\u00a0towards\u00a0authorities.
