Le Burkina Faso a longtemps cit\u00e9 comme un mod\u00e8le de stabilit\u00e9 et de coh\u00e9sion sociale dans une r\u00e9gion confront\u00e9e \u00e0 de multiples crises et violences. Mais aujourd\u2019hui, le pays fait face \u00e0 des attaques arm\u00e9es de plus en plus fr\u00e9quentes, violentes et meurtri\u00e8res, de m\u00eame qu\u2019\u00e0 une recrudescence du nombre de conflits intra et intercommunautaires.<\/p>\n
A travers une implication innovante des leaders coutumiers et religieux dans la diffusion de messages de paix, Interpeace a organis\u00e9 des caravanes dans 12 communes au Burkina Faso pour sensibiliser les populations sur ces questions, avec un accent particulier sur la promotion de l\u2019int\u00e9gration des femmes et des jeunes dans la gestion de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
La d\u00e9gradation de la situation s\u00e9curitaire n\u00e9cessite l\u2019implication de toute la communaut\u00e9, en particulier les femmes, qui repr\u00e9sentent 51,7% de la population, et les jeunes de moins de 15 ans, \u00e0 45,3%. Ces personnes apparaissent les plus touch\u00e9es du fait de leur vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9, subissant les pires formes de violence. Parmi elles, les femmes deviennent des survivantes de violences bas\u00e9es sur le genre et les jeunes, du fait de la faiblesse des opportunit\u00e9s d\u2019emplois et en raison des frustrations, ont tendance \u00e0 se faire enr\u00f4ler\u202fpar les groupes arm\u00e9s organis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
Des recherches r\u00e9centes d'Interpeace ont montr\u00e9 la faible implication des femmes et des jeunes dans la gouvernance locale de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Pourtant, la participation de ces personnes au Burkina Faso est un facteur essentiel pour am\u00e9liorer la gouvernance, plus particuli\u00e8rement celle de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans le pays. Elle est indispensable pour renforcer la r\u00e9silience locale et nationale et la coh\u00e9sion sociale.<\/p>\n
The caravans Interpeace organised included educational talks by trained youth in forums discussing the integration of women and youth in peacebuilding, radio programmes promoting social cohesion, conflict prevention and management, and debates on the Interpeace analysis report on the security sector in the country.<\/p>\n
Religious tradition and practice begin early in the family and continues throughout an individual's life. Religious and traditional leaders are among the most influential and respected people in society, and their involvement and ownership in peacebuilding remains central to conflict prevention and transformation.<\/p>\n
Quant \u00e0 la jeunesse, elle a un grand r\u00f4le \u00e0 jouer dans la qu\u00eate de la r\u00e9conciliation nationale et de la coh\u00e9sion sociale. Cet \u00e9tat de fait commande que chaque jeune fasse preuve de responsabilit\u00e9 et d\u2019engagement citoyen, d\u2019o\u00f9 le renforcement de ses capacit\u00e9s sur la transformation des conflits, la communication non violente et l\u2019utilisation responsable des r\u00e9seaux sociaux.<\/p>\n
\"Women and young people are the most numerous, and if we involve them in the fight against terrorism and insecurity, we will be able to fight insecurity effectively. Women are important, young people are important,\" said the High Commissioner of the S\u00e9no province.<\/p>\n
Noumpoua Tankoano from Fada N'Gourma underlined the importance of the educational talks, especially for internally displaced people like herself who have fled their localities because of the violence.<\/p>\n
\"Many of the women among us have lost their husbands, other men have abandoned their wives in the hope of surviving. Women are left as widows, with a large number of children to raise. The adversity in which they live is likely to influence them and lead them into unhealthy behaviour,\" she said.<\/p>\n
\"This talk we had on the theme of supporting women in terrorist actions, and resolutions to deter them was necessary and gave us the confidence to contribute to the promotion of peace in our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
