C'est pourquoi nous mettons l'accent sur le renforcement de la r\u00e9silience des espaces locaux de consolidation de la paix, afin que celles-ci puissent maintenir la paix apr\u00e8s la fin de notre projet \u00bb, explique le repr\u00e9sentant d'Interpeace au Kenya, Hassan Ismail.<\/p>\n<p>Ces m\u00e9canismes \u00e0 Banisa ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9s apr\u00e8s la mort de 28 personnes dans une s\u00e9rie d'attaques et de repr\u00e9sailles qui ont \u00e9galement provoqu\u00e9 le d\u00e9placement de milliers d'autres personnes en octobre 2019. Le conflit a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9solu par une s\u00e9rie de dialogues intercommunautaires qui se sont conclus par un accord de paix.<\/p>\n<p>Les structures communautaires de consolidation de la paix sont constitu\u00e9es de comit\u00e9s de surveillance du cessez-le-feu (CMC), de groupes de travail, d'un forum des acteurs de la paix et de comit\u00e9s d'espace de dialogue villageois qui relient les diff\u00e9rents corridors de conflit. Elles sont coordonn\u00e9es et soutenues par les \u00e9quipes locales de consolidation de la paix. Malgr\u00e9 nos origines claniques, nous irons toujours de l'avant \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 un membre du comit\u00e9 de surveillance du cessez-le-feu, Mohamed Yussuf.<\/p>\n<p>Ses homologues et lui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s \u00e0 l'analyse des conflits, \u00e0 la facilitation du dialogue, au partage des alertes pr\u00e9coces aux conflits pour une r\u00e9ponse rapide et \u00e0 la r\u00e9solution des conflits au sein de leurs communaut\u00e9s avant que ceux-ci ne deviennent incontr\u00f4lables. Depuis la cr\u00e9ation de ces espaces de dialogue, les actes violents de repr\u00e9sailles ont consid\u00e9rablement diminu\u00e9. Ces structures locales ont \u00e9galement r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 six incidents violents majeurs impliquant 14 d\u00e9c\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces espaces, la confiance a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9tablie entre certaines communaut\u00e9s de Mandera et la culture de la paix et de la r\u00e9conciliation a \u00e9t\u00e9 encourag\u00e9e, ce qui a permis de r\u00e9soudre certains probl\u00e8mes structurels qui d\u00e9clenchent souvent des conflits dans les communaut\u00e9s, sans soutien d'acteurs de paix ext\u00e9rieurs.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Continued violence in some communities in northern Kenya has often torn societies apart, with attacks resulting in the deaths of community members, damage to property, injuries, and displacements.
