Anisha is the Head of Human Resources at Interpeace since February 2021, bringing over 15 years of international HR experience across the humanitarian and corporate sectors. She has a strong track record in global HR operations, recruitment, internal policy development, and leading HR teams in complex, multicultural environments.
Her career spans both headquarters and field settings, where she has supported diverse teams and championed people-centered, inclusive HR practices. She is passionate about fostering inclusive workplace cultures, empowering employee’s growth and driving meaningful organisational change.
Before joining Interpeace, Anisha coordinated global HR initiatives at GlaxoSmithKline, contributed to HR policy development and recruitments at the Humanitarian Dialogue Center, and managed HR and finance operations in field missions with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Earlier in her career, she held several HR roles at Nestlé International HQ, in global mobility, recruitment, and administration.
Duncan Maina assumed the position of Director of Finance in January 2025, following a successful 13-month tenure as Head of Global Finance.
Prior to his tenure at Interpeace, Duncan served at Tearfund UK as a Senior Finance Business Partner and Regional Finance Lead for East and Central Africa. His extensive career at Tearfund also included roles as Senior Management Accountant and Country Finance and Operations Manager, where he contributed to operations across a diverse range of countries, including the UK, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
Duncan’s professional journey further encompasses senior finance positions at Merlin UK in Liberia, where he was appointed Assistant Finance Manager, and at the Christian Council of Tanzania, where he served as the Institutional Donors Finance Advisor.
He holds an Executive Master's degree in Management and Leadership from the United States University. During his studies, he participated in a prestigious summer immersion program at Solbridge International Business School in South Korea, concentrating on the dynamics of Asian business cultures.
In addition, Duncan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
Luvini Ranasinghe is a strategic communications and engagement expert with over 20 years’ experience in the humanitarian, development and peacebuilding sectors. Her expertise spans high-stakes environments, where she has overcome challenges posed by conflict, natural disasters, healthcare emergencies, and gender-based disparities to achieve tangible results.
As Interpeace’s Head of Global Engagement and Secretariat, Luvini drives strategy to maintain and enhance the organisation’s positioning by aligning internal and external communications and ensuring effective collaboration between teams. She manages the Secretariat, leads communications and supports the President/CEO to deliver strategy, manage change and develop partnerships.
Luvini brings to bear her extensive experience contributing to global campaigns on conflict, health, migration, human rights and community engagement. Her work has spanned disaster relief and response contexts in Sri Lanka, Haiti, Nepal, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Democratic Republic of Congo, among others. She has engaged directly with members of affected communities, gaining first-hand experience in displacement and humanitarian response while working for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the United Nations Children’s Fund, the United Nations Development Programme, the French Embassy to Sri Lanka and the French Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development.
Luvini is currently pursuing a doctorate on community engagement in humanitarian action in collaboration with the University of Kelaniya (Sri Lanka), where she previously completed a bachelor’s degree with first-class distinction in mass communications and journalism.
Jean Paul Mugiraneza is the Senior Special Advisor to the President for Peacebuilding and Programme Development. He was the Director for Interpeace's Regional Office for Eastern and Central Africa based in Nairobi.
En tant que directeur régional, il était responsable de la gestion quotidienne du bureau régional, de l'orientation stratégique et de la réalisation des objectifs, de même que des résultats attendus des différents programmes relevant du bureau régional en étroite collaboration avec les organisations partenaires sur le terrain. Le bureau régional a couvert des programmes en Somalie, au Kenya, au Rwanda, au Burundi et en République Démocratique du Congo (RDC).
Jean-Paul, originaire du Rwanda, a fait ses études à l'Université nationale du Rwanda (licence en droit) et à l'Université du Québec (maîtrise en administration publique) et a travaillé pendant dix-huit ans dans la fonction publique, la gouvernance, la consolidation de la paix et l'éducation en Afrique des Grands Lacs, en Afrique de l'Ouest et en Europe.
Il a été secrétaire exécutif du secrétariat national de mise en œuvre de la décentralisation au Rwanda.
Au lendemain du génocide contre les Tutsi au Rwanda, Jean-Paul a participé à la mise en place d'institutions décentralisées de gouvernance et au débat sur la manière de trouver des solutions pour que les citoyens vivent ensemble pacifiquement.
Il a été président de la commission politique du conseil municipal de Kigali et membre du conseil d'administration de la commission nationale de lutte contre le sida.
Il a été professeur invité à l'Université indépendante de Kigali où il a enseigné le droit social et le droit constitutionnel.
Renée Larivière is the Senior Director of Programmes at Interpeace where she provides strategic leadership and oversight of peacebuilding operations worldwide. She is also responsible for providing strategic leadership and orientation for the organization’s policy making. Operating in the complex environments of fragile societies she has extensive experience in working closely with the different stakeholders that have an interest in building sustainable peace.
Renée est arrivée à Interpeace en 2007 avec une expérience de terrain au Pérou, au Pakistan et en Indonésie. Si son objectif a toujours été de soutenir les sociétés fragiles, son travail passé repose davantage sur des conflits liés aux ressources naturelles. Pendant son séjour au Pérou au service de Grupo GEA, Renée a également été professeur invité à l'École supérieure de l'Université nationale de La Molina. Elle a aussi travaillé pour l'Agence canadienne de développement international (ACDI).
Renée est canadienne et détient une maîtrise en sciences de l'environnement de l'Université de Sherbrooke ainsi qu'une licence de l'Université d'Ottawa.
