Interpeace among Top 100 NGOs
24 janvier, 2013
For the second year in a row, Interpeace has been named among the Top 100 NGOs in the world by the Geneva- and New York-based publication The Global Journal. Moving up 11 positions, Interpeace was ranked number 67 and sits alongside 99 outstanding NGOs.
450 NGOs were considered for the ranking
The Global Journal just released the latest comprehensive ranking of non-profit organizations operating in a range of different sectors. The intention of the ranking is to “shine a light on a dynamic, innovative and inspiring sector.” The Global Journal analyzed around 450 NGOs from across the world and evaluated them against several criteria: impact, innovation and sustainability. The focus on these three criteria is the result of a refinement of the evaluation methodology and the main alteration compared to the inaugural list.
Recognition of the work of over 300 peacebuilders
“We are honoured and proud to be named among these 100 prestigious organizations. This recognition of our work really belongs to our 300 peacebuilders that are committed to building lasting peace. Being a peacebuilder is not just an ordinary job. It often requires going beyond the call of duty. This ranking is confirmation and encouragement to all of us to keep doing what we do best: supporting local processes of positive change,” explains Scott M. Weber, Director-General of Interpeace.
