July 2012 - The role of 'leadership' in building sustainable peace remains little understood. We cannot research this unless we clarify our understanding of 'conflict transformation,' 'peacebuilding' and 'leadership.' This working paper provides a summary introduction to some key concepts and perspectives on 'leadership' - and on 'followership.'

December 2010 - This report is a contribution to a broader UN-led reflection and wider consultation about the type, quality, expertise and availability of civilian experts to support the immediate capacity development needs of countries emerging from conflict. This document presents the results of a civil society survey and summarises the responses of 34 civil society organisations.

October 2005 - This discussion paper reviews the nature of UNDAF, looks at some experiences in Rwanda and Sri Lanka that illustrate the problems presented above, and summarizes the essentials of effective conflict prevention and peacebuilding practice. The paper also identifies the main issues that need to be addressed by international assistance actors and suggestes a realistic perspective on the UNDAF as a mechanism for peacebuilding.
